Client chats are a powerful way to keep in touch during the home transaction process. These chat messages will show up right on your client’s phone screen like an Instagram Direct Message. For you, chatting with your clients in the app can segregate your business messages from your personal messages, which can be very helpful as well. You can easily find chats with specific clients and even search within a client chat by keywords to find an old discussion. 

In this article, we’ll go over how to find a client chat as well as how to search within a client chat for a specific topic.

 

Find a Chat

As soon as you log in to your app, you’ll see an icon for Client Chat. If there are unread messages, there will be a red bubble with the number of unread messages.

You can also reach your client chats on a mobile device, hit the menu button in the top right.

For desktops, look at the left navigation bar. Click Chat in either menu.

You can view all of your available chats by clicking the All tab at the top. Click the Unread tab to only see messages you have not yet read.

Use the search bar to find a specific client chat. You can search a whole name or with part of a name to see matching results.

Click on a chat to open it and view the messages.

 

Find Information in a Chat

If you are looking for a specific part of a conversation with a client, you can use the search feature inside the client chat. 

First, open the client chat, then click the magnifying glass icon in the top right.

Enter the keyword or phrase you want to find in the conversation. You’ll be able to jump to that part of the message to read the replies.
