Overview
Educational articles make an embedded blog that allows you to provide additional information to clients about the transaction process, the local market, or whatever you’d like to share!
Ruuster provides a set of default articles to populate your Education center, but you can add new articles and even edit or delete the default ones as needed.
Articles can be organized into four standard categories and will be displayed with a banner image and article title to clients.
In this article, we’ll go over how you as the admin can customize the education articles in your app.
Locate Education Articles
On a mobile device, hit the menu button in the top right.
For desktops, look at the left navigation bar. Scroll to the Admin view section and click Global Settings. In the dropdown, select Customize Learn.
This opens the Educational Content Editor where you can add, edit, and delete articles.
Add an Article
To add a new article, click Add Article at the top of the page.
On a mobile device, a new window will open up where you can create your article. On a desktop, the new article will open on the right side of the screen.
You can fill out the following:
Title - The name of the article that will be displayed in your education center.
Article Content - This is the body of your article. Use the markup options in the top to change font styles, add hyperlinks, embed images and videos, and generally format your content.
Display Settings - The Stage dropdown is the category the new article will display in. The Order dropdown is where the article will fall in the category. Only the first four articles show on the dashboard under each Stage, 1 being at the top. To see the remaining articles, a user needs to navigate to the Education section.
Banner Image - This image is displayed with the title to identify the article. The image is also used inside the article as a banner along the top. Drag and drop an image into the section or click browse and upload an image from your device. Once you’ve added an image, you can make some minor edits.
Crop Image - Click and drag one of the image corners to crop the logo.
Rotate Image - Click the circular arrow under the image to rotate it.
Flip Image - Click the triangles to flip the image horizontally.
Reset Changes - Click the X button to undo any changes you’ve made to the image.
When you’re done click Save Changes at the bottom to create your article.
Manage Articles
You can easily update or remove articles.
After you’ve opened the Educational Content Editor, use the top dropdown to select the category your desired article is in.
Find the desired article and click to open it.
Make any desired changes and then scroll to the bottom. To keep your changes click Save Changes.
If you want to keep the article the way it was, click Discard Changes.
To remove an article entirely, click Delete Article. Use caution, as deleting an article cannot be undone.
