Auto-Send an Initial Alert When Adding or Updating Custom Property Searches
With Initial Alert, you can choose to send a one-time email with all current matching listings when adding or updating a custom property.
Introduction
With Initial Alert, you can select to send now a one-time email with all current matching listings from the criteria of the search. The email is typically delivered to your client's inbox in 15-30 minutes.
Why You Should Use Initial Search
With the Initial Alert property search option you can position yourself as a local market expert to your clients for their new or updated search; increase your efficiency by auto-sending instant matches instead of applying the search and then sending all-matching results; and enjoy additional control over how you manage your client’s property search by having the option to send all-matching results or not.
When You Should Use Initial Search
Imagine: You've just gotten off the phone with a new client and you're ready to set up a custom search that matches their search criteria. Near the end of the call you let your client know, "Within the next hour, if not before, an alert with every matching property currently on the market will hit your inbox."
You then set up the search, confirm the box is checked for "Initial Alert", and submit. Done! In the next 15-30 minutes (the typical delivery time) a one-time email with all current matching listings will hit your new client's inbox to give them a clear start in their search, and new properties will trigger new alerts going forward.
The Initial Search functionality applies not only to newly created custom searches, but also to updates to existing custom searches, as well.
How to Use Initial Search
When creating or editing a custom saved search for a client there is a checkbox, enabled by default, with the following text:
Initial Alert: Send a one-time email now with all current matching listings. (This is typically delivered within 15-30 minutes.)
When this box is checked, a one-time email will send -- typically delivered to your client's inbox within 15-30 minutes -- with all current matching listings. This applies not only to newly created searches, but also to updated existing searches as well. If the box is unchecked, no such email will send.
FAQs
How does the Initial Alert differ from an ongoing listing alert?
The Initial Alert is a one-time alert that typically delivers within 15-30 minutes (if not sooner, sometimes much sooner) of being triggered. The look and feel of the email will be the same as any ongoing listing alert, only with all current matching properties included (up to four properties in the email itself, with a link to all matching results). Then, going forward, all listing alerts will include any newly added or updated properties that match the criteria of the search.
Is the Initial Alert available for existing/ updated saved searches, or only for newly created ones?
It's available for both! If you for example modify the search criteria of a search after speaking to your client, you'll have the option to send a one-time email with all current matching listings. So long as one or more of those properties hasn't already been sent to a client in the last 24 hours, it will be included (up to four properties in the email itself, with a link to all matching results).
Is the Initial Alert available for AI Nurture listing alerts as well?
Yes! And it's automatic.
If the lead registration was within the past 48 hours, the Initial Alert will auto-send and typically delivers within 15-30 minutes (if not sooner, sometimes much sooner) of the AI Nurture alert being applied.
If the lead registration was more than 48 hours ago, the Initial Alert will auto-send at the first scheduled send (i.e., the next morning if the alert send frequency is set to Daily).
